ELLUMINATE & ARTICULATE FLASH LEARNING OBJECTS

5 MINUTES ABOUT PODCASTING: An Articulate learning object developed to provide an execuitve summary on podcasting in education. Recorded using a Blue Snowball mic, and QuickTime 7.

ONLINE TEACHING & LEARNING: SIMILARITIES & DIFFERENCES : This is my first learning object created using Articulate Engage. This learning object is used in the SAU Online Faculty Training course. This interactive, flash-based learning object was developed using Articulate Presenter 5.0, and is used in the SAU Online Faculty Training course.

iNTERACTIVE DISPLAY OF THE ELLUMINATE LIVE MODERATOR INTERFACE : This learning object was created to give faculty an interactive introduction to the Elluminate Live moderator interface. This is used in conjunction with SAU Elluminate Live faculty orientation sessions.

"TOP 10" - A COMPARISION OF ONLINE & TRADITIONAL TEACHING & LEARNING : Developed using Articulate Presenter 5.0. as a lead-in to a threaded discussion assignment in the SAU Online Faculty Training course.

GIVING STUDENT FEEDBACK USING THE TRACK CHANGES FEATURE IN MS WORD : This was designed as a short, self-paced tutorial for Faculty Development. It was created in response to a faculty survey indicating interest in using the Track Changes Comment feature in Microsoft Word.

GARAGEBAND/KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS

ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING BEST PRACTICES - INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN : This presentation was created using GarageBand and Keynote. It was an attempt quickly & easily create attractive, interactive narrated presentations in flash. It wasn't massively difficult, but neither was the process quick.

ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING BEST PRACTICES - LEARNING THEORY : This presentation was created along with the Instructional Design presentation above. As it became clear the process for creating these flash presentations would not be quick, I decided not to complete the remaining 2 presentations in this series.

IMPATICA PRESENTATIONS

HUMANIZING THE ONLINE COURSE : This presentation was generated from a PowerPoint file using Impatica for the PC. Impatica was one of the first tools that is really easy to use, and generates small files sizes. Unfortuately at the time, I had less control over the graphic and sound quality than I do now, resulted in less than sparkling graphics and audio.

MODERATING ONLINE DISCUSSION : This is another of my Impatica generated presentations. The audio sounds particularly flat in this one.

ONLINE COURSE QUALITY TOP 10 LIST : Yet another Impatica generated presentation.
